Our civil code regulates the family in three different ways:
Narrow meaning of family:
The narrow meaning of family refers to the union of spouses, namely husband and wife. We call this situation a marriage union.
Broad meaning of family:
The broad meaning of family refers to a group consisting of parents and children. We can also call this situation a custody family.
Widest meaning of family:
The widest meaning of family is a group of people who live together under the leadership of a household head. These people may consist of blood and in-law relatives, as well as workers such as servants, nannies, gardeners, etc. The civil code regulates this type of family under the heading of household arrangement, including Article 367 and subsequent sections.
